Even if you don't consider yourself a "writer," this session will get you excited about writing with your cards for the purpose of your own self-discovery.

Soul Nourishment
Books, movies, music, & websites to support your inner work as you dive deeper into your soul....
Books:
Letting Go of the Person You Used to Be, by Lama Surya Das. Subtitled Lessons on Change, Loss, and Spiritual Transformation. This book could also be titled "Confronting the Curves That Life Throws Your Way." It almost reminded me of an updated version of Why Bad Things Happen To Good People." It is easy to read and full of personal stories, anecdotes, guided meditations and reflections that will help you to embrace change (both wanted and unwanted) more fully.
The Four-Fold Way, by Angeles Arrien. This is an insightful book based on Dr. Arrien's work as a cultural anthropologist. In this book you gain insights into practical ways to connect with the Warrior, Teacher, Healer and Visionary Archetypes. It will lend you insight into your own Council suit of your SoulCollage deck.
Movies:
Little Miss Sunshine, with Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette, Steve Carell, Alan Arkin. This little Indie movie made a lot of waves this summer in the "big" theatres. I saw it then and am excited now because it's on dvd and I can watch it whenever I want. I love it because it's laugh-out-loud-funny AND it's touching, very real, and carries a deep message about the real meaning of success, failure, family, and winning.
Music:
Chant, by the Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos. Here's some soothing, soul-full music for background music for your SoulCollage card making.
Tembang Sunda: Sudanese Classical Songs. Mesmerizing and refined music from the
province
of
Sunda
in West Java, Indonesia. Combines sung poetry with zither and flute accompaniment.
Don't forget to check out CDBaby.com, a great new place to buy cd's. Their New Age section is a must for all serious SoulCollagers! Their customer service is unsurpassed and they stock cd's from over 158,000 artists. Great selections, great prices, friendly people, and a good deal on shipping. What more could you want?

Elder Wisdom Circle- a nationwide network of Seniors aged 60-103 who offer advice and wisdom confidentially via the internet. Their mission is to promote and share elder know-how and accumulated wisdom, along with the goal of elevating the perceived value and worth of the senior community. Go ahead and try it. Is there something you're struggling with, or have a very big question about? Send an email on this site and you'll hear back from one or two wise senior women. I tried it and was amazed with the clarity and depth of the two answers I received. This site truly is a blessing for your new year.
Letters of Transformation- scroll down just a little bit when you get to this page and you'll find a wonderful writing exercise that will help you transform a relationship in your life that's been needing change.
