My name is Karen Mann and I'm a SoulCollage® facilitator from Melbourne, Australia. This column is for those of you who have already made some cards & are ready to discover the symphony of voices inside of you and around you. 



My Last Column

This quote, which has been an inspiration to me over the years, has started to mean even more to me over the last few months as the focus of my business has begun to shift. More and more I am becoming excited about my Stop Weighting, Start Living program, and as this program starts to occupy my time, my creativity (so many ideas!) and my passion (I can talk & talk & talk about it), my inner guidance has been prompting me to change some aspects of my business and my life. Some of these changes have been quite dramatic, and have felt quite risky... and others have just felt "right," with a real sense of relief after they have been implemented.

One change that I've been "guided" to make is to resign from my role as regular columnist for this newsletter. It has been an interesting process, making the decision to finish up with this column. I must say it has been something that has been at the back of my mind for a while, but has taken me a while to get courageous enough to take this step! I'm not stepping back from writing this column because I no longer use SoulCollage®, in fact it is an integral part of my Stop Weighting, Start Living program. Nor is it because Anne Marie and I have had a falling out. On the contrary, our friendship and sense of colleagueship and support for each other is as strong as ever.

I am ending this column simply because my intuition tells me it is time.

There is no real logic behind this decision. In fact, logic may tell me that if I am starting a new program which uses SoulCollage®, I am best to keep writing a regular column about SoulCollage® and therefore keep people aware of who I am and the programs I am running... but my inner guidance tells me this is not the case. I "know" it is time to write my last article and say goodbye to Soul Songs (although I will still be reading it!).

As I start to reach the end of the article, I would like to express gratitude. Thanks to Anne Marie for inviting me to write this column. Back in 2005, when Anne Marie started this newsletter, I never could have imagined what a big role it would play in my life. Each month, for more than 5 years, I have learned about myself and stretched myself to explore new ways of using SoulCollage®, as I looked for something interesting to share with you. I would also like to thank you, the readers of this column, who have told me over the years that what I've written has made a difference to you. I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to share a little of myself with you, and so humbled to have been a part of your lives.

As this stage of my life (and my business) draws to a close, I know that while it feels risky, this is definitely the right next step for me. If there's anything I hope you have taken from my previous columns about SoulCollage®, it is that when we "trust the process," we will be guided to end up exactly where we are meant to be. I trust that as I follow my inner guidance and take some risks to develop and simplify my business, the universe will pay me to be myself and do what I love! Thanks again for being part of this journey!
