Wisdom for Today's Journey

Suppose you scrub your ethical skin until it shines, but inside there is no music, then what? ---Kabir

I went to see a play recently about a young woman who had the gift of healing through music. At one point, some tragic things happen to her and she realizes that she no longer has the desire to sing. "There's no more music in me," she cries out in despair and grief.

Later in the story, a wise older woman tells her, "The music is still in you. It's running through your soul like a deep river." We all have this music running like fountains and streams within us. For one person, this music might be the gift of song, for another it's the gift of words, or the gift of listening.

The music and the gifts are abundant, unlimited, fluent. It is our job to remember that the music is in us. SoulCollage is a way to access that music, and the gifts that have been with us since birth. It is our job to sing our own song, no matter what.

What music is inside of me today?
