Quotation of the Week
Our lives are like islands in the sea, or like trees in the forest,
which co-mingle their roots in the darkness underground. --William James
Inner Journeys with Anne Marie Bennett Integrating the Practice of SoulCollage® Into Our Daily Lives Grounded and Rooted Together What
would our lives be like if we really believed the wisdom in the quotation above? I believe our lives would be richer for this co-mingling of our roots. I believe
we would be more open to love and to the friendship that is shimmering all around us, day to day, moment to moment.
So often we go through our days with blinders on, believing that we are alone, that we have to carry our burdens alone, that there is no one nearby who would give a darn about taking our hand and walking with us for a while. But if we are indeed like those trees in the forest, then there are many people walking the same path as we are, many individuals who are grounded and rooted from the same Source. Let us lean on one another. Let us share our burdens in the darkness and thus be strengthened to grow further into the light. SoulCollage®
ExpressionsIdeas and Challenges to Spice Up Your SoulCollage® Practice Challenge of the Week This week, try journaling with these questions either in words or through color and image: Whose roots are intertwined with yours? How can you help strengthen another soul today? What could you do to allow your own soul to be strengthened by another today? Make a SoulCollage® card for the part of you who is connected to others in this deep and beautiful way.
