Books:

Marry Your Muse, by Jan Phillips. The subtitle to this awesome book is: Making a Lasting Commitment to Your Creativity, and it truly lives up to its title! It starts with The Artist's Creed, and it talks you through the Creed one line at a time. Full of delicious, simple activities that you can do to deepen your relationship to your creativity. Also, an added bonus: hundreds of awesome quotations!

Her Evolution, by Shiloh McCloud. Oh, oh, oh! I can't wait for you to get your hands on this amazing coloring book for women. And it's so much more than just a coloring book! It's a large book, spiral bound and there are over 60 thick pages on which to write your sacred stories and vision your own images. There are 30 large images of women to color in any way you choose (watercolor, colored pencil, markers, pastels...), as well as 15 pages of guided instruction on developing creativity and exploring the path of transformation. Perhaps one of the images will even make its way to one of your SoulCollage cards! In addition, there are 15 pages of artist's wisdom on art as a healing path and art as a spiritual practice. I have fallen in love with my own copy of this book... it feels like a sacred healing tool and I know I will be using it for many months and years to come. Living Beauty, by Bobbi Brown. Finally, a book on how to look beautiful, written specifically for women over 40! With beautiful photos and helpful information about make-up, moisturizers and more. Also wonderful words of wisdom from older women we know and admire for their commitment to letting their INNER beauty inform their OUTER beauty: Susan Sarandon, Vera Wang, Lorraine Bracco, Rita Wilson, and many more.

Music:

Sacred, by the Taliesin Orchestra. I like to put this on very loud sometimes, while I'm cooking or cleaning. When I'm making SoulCollage cards, I like it a little softer. Contains some beautiful, unique renditions of classic favorites like Amazing Grace, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, and others. Also some new pieces that will speak directly to the part of you who is in touch with the Divine.

Check out the CDBaby.com site which is the best site ever to buy CD's . Their customer service is awesome; their shipping prices are less than Amazon's; you can listen to samples of the music before you buy it; they're a big company with a great sense of humor and an excellent attitude toward their customers. All you have to do is buy there once and you'll see what I mean! Their New Age music collection is very broad, and perfect for background music while you're making those beautiful SoulCollage cards! It's music to inspire your soul.

Websites:

Posters for the Soul- Yes, this site really does give away posters for free. Gorgeous, full-sized posters with incredible art work and quotations! Well, not exactly free... there's a nominal charge of $4.95 for shipping for each one, but I think it's well worth it. Even if you don't buy, you'll be inspired just by looking at all the beautiful images

Simple Abundance- Sarah ban Breathnach's page on keeping a gratitude journal.

DreamsTime- fabulous site (as good as my favorite, IStockPhoto.com) with hundreds of thousands of excellent-quality images searchable by word, idea or theme. Only $1 each. Use either one of these for a hard-to-find image for one of your SoulCollage cards.
