February 28!

Only one week left to help us celebrate Seena's 75th Birthday!- Seena Frost turns 75 on February 15. Please create a SoulCollage to honor her, along with some I AM THE ONE WHO... statements. Send to kaleidosoul@gmail.com. We are creating a special blog for her from KaleidoSoul Kindred Spirit Members. I need all cards/interpretations no later than February 12. ..that's NEXT WEEK! There are some nice images of Seena here if you'd like to use a photo of her on your card.

Right now I have only THREE CARDS to put on this special blog for this special woman!!!

You don't need to have met Seena to make a SoulCollage card to honor her. Simply find some images that represent what she means to you. My own card for her has images of light and a rainbow and a little child with bright colored crayons gripped in his fist.... symbolizing the linner ight and creative joy her gift of SoulCollage has brought to me and to others.

NOTE: Please do NOT discuss this (or post your cards for her) on the Yahoo Board as Seena is a part of that list and it's a SURPRISE!!!

I will send y'all the link to her blog after I send it to Seena, on Feb. 15th! If you have any questions at all about this, please email me directly at the address above.

Upcoming Tele-Playshops

February:
Extra! Extra! Write All About It
with SoulCollage Facilitator, Anne Marie Bennett

Join us as we talk about (and experience!) using creative writing as a tool to go deeper into your SoulCollage cards/deck. I'll have lots of ideas to share, and we'll actually try doing a few of them during this tele-playshop. Even if you don't consider yourself a "writer," this session will get you excited about writing with your cards for the purpose of your own self-discovery.
Date: Tuesday, February 20, 2007
Time: 7 pm EST

March:
Creating a Personal History Suit
for Your SoulCollage Deck
with special guest Anne Boedecker

Join us for a special hour with Anne Boedecker of Bow, New Hampshire, who has created a Personal History Suit for her SoulCollage Deck. She will talk about how she came to do this, and give suggestions for how you can do the same. She'll also lead you gently through a short process that will help you discern what your own Personal History Suit might look like. There will also be time for questions and idea sharing.

Anne Boedecker is a psychotherapist and collage artist who uses expressive art for spiritual growth and healing. Her passion is the creative care of the soul thorough art, music, writing, meditation and movement.

Date: Monday, March 19, 2007
Time: 7 pm EST

Save the dates now. The tele-playshops are FR*EE for all members, always! We'll send you the phone number to call in upcoming issues of Soul Treasures. And remember, don't worry if you can't attend... we'll be recording them and you can listen to them anytime in your Member's Only Audio Library.

Soul Nourishment
Books, movies, music, & websites to support your inner work as you dive deeper into your soul....

Books:

The Life Organizer: A Woman's Guide to a Mindful Year. This is an ALL-NEW book by Jennifer Louden. Subtitle says exactly what it is: Tips, Stories and Prompts to Focus on Your Needs and Navigate Your Dreams. You can get this in a bookstore or on Amazon, but if you purchase it from her site, you'll receive 20% off plus a whole basket of other goodies including a CD, an audio recording you can download, a set of Companion Questions and more. I have every book written by this wise, mindful woman, and I'm eagerly waiting for this next one to arrive in the mail (as well as looking forward to organizing my life in a more soul-full way).

The Wisdom of Wilderness: Experiencing the Healing Power of Nature, by Gerald G. May. I don't usually get caught up in nonfiction books about nature, but this one caught my eye because it's written by an author I admire (not to mention the beautiful cover!). In the 80's when struggling with a friend's addiction to alcohol (and my own addiction to helping the friend), I read his book Addiction and Grace, and my whole spirit took a new direction. So I picked up Wisdom of Wilderness with sweet anticipation and was not disappointed. Read this book and savor it for its tales of a person longing to know and then experiencing the Divine through nature. Read this book and receive the gift of its teaching about following our deepest soul's knowing, about life, death, Spirit, animals, and our own human nature. Read this book and then pass it on, for it holds valuable insight and wisdom for all of us today.

Music:

Get Music in Your Own Flavor! This is the coolest thing! Need music for a long road trip? Waking up? Soothing you to sleep? Exercising? Cooking? A dinner party? What kind of mood are you in? Heartbroken? Depressed? Summery? This page on CD Baby has answers for all your music needs, and in any "flavor" you want. I'm having so much fun sifting through the choices there, listening to tracks to see if I like them, and shopping!

Om Namaha Shivaya, by Robert Gass and On Wings of Song. Powerful, soothing, continuous chant. This music always makes me feel spacious and calm, no matter what else I'm doing while listening to it.

Websites:

Have you seen MyPath yet? It's like getting a soul education right on your computer screen? You can even watch any two full-length features for less than $2.00! Lots of soul-ful programming that you will love. (Hint: after clicking on the banner above, click on "Skip Intro" to get right into it!)

Did you know that there's a Featured SoulCollage Card page on Seena's website? Right now it's featuring a Wounded Child card/story, and also a story about someone who lost ALL of their SoulCollage cards! There's even an audio recording of Seena telling that person's story.
