Soul Singing with Anne Marie |

Hi!
I'm Anne Marie, the creator of KaleidoSoul.com, and a
SoulCollage® facilitator in Massachusetts. If you're
just starting to sing your song with SoulCollage®, this column is
especially for you.
How Wild Are You?
I have been intrigued by this archetype (Wild Woman) for a long time, and was delighted when Tamara Brody, a SoulCollage® Facilitator in Colorado, suggested this topic for our monthly tele-class (see below) and
Soul Songs theme. I don't have a card for Wild Woman in my deck yet, and as I am slowly allowing her energy into my life, I find myself looking for just the right images to represent her. Until then, this card is standing in her place!
While researching this topic online, I came across a wonderful article on the
Wild Wolf Women of the Web website. In this article, the author says:
Being wild doesn't mean reactionary. It means to feel the
life force coming up inside you and to honor it regardless of where it may
take you. Free means unhampered by mores and pressures from the outside,
creating an open space for that wildness to come through. You are free to
say "Yes" as well as "No". You are free to follow your own trail, whether it
appears wild or tame. Because wildness isn't an idea. It is a life force. It
is atunement with Spirit. It is an ear to the small voice inside that leads
you on your very own path.
I have copied this paragraph and am keeping it by my desk where I can read it often. I love the idea of wildness as a life force rising up inside of me. And even more than that, I am drawn to the idea of honoring wherever that wild life force leads. I love the idea that this wildness is connected to freedom, and that this is ALL connected to Spirit.
Looking back, I see that I have felt this wild, strong, life surge at many times in my life, but I have not always acted from it. I look back on the times that I
have acted from it and rejoice in the power and freedom that invariably followed.
I encourage you this month to really take a look at this archetype and see where it is active in your life. Where are you encouraging of it? Where are you resisting its direction? Make a SoulCollage® card for this archetypal energy which touches us all in some beautiful way. And too, apply the Wild Woman energy to your SoulCollage® practice. Follow that wild inner voice, do what needs to be done, create from your heart in alignment with Spirit, and watch what happens!
If you'd like more discussion and information about the Wild Woman archetype, please consider joining us on Tuesday July 26 for our next monthly KaleidoSoul tele-class!

OUR NEXT TELE-CLASS
|
Led by Guest Facilitator Tamara Brody,
SoulCollage® Facilitator in Colorado
Let's explore the power of the Wild Woman Archetype using SoulCollage® as our tool.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes, in her soul-stirring book, Women Who Run with the
Wolves, brings the myth and mystique of the Wild Woman archetype alive through fables, legends, and fairy tales. These are powerful containers for our lives as we pass through milestones and confront challenges.
Join us on this call and discover how to claim your Wild Woman Archetype to accompany you on the path of your
own life story. It is not necessary to have read the Estes book to benefit from this tele-class. It is also not specific to women. Men are certainly welcome and will also gain insights.
TAMARA BRODY is a SoulCollage® facilitator in Colorado, and she offers workshops regularly in her home studio as well as in the community through her business,
Creative Connections. She took facilitator training with Seena in September of 2008. Please see some of her own Wild Woman cards in the Cards from Readers section to the right.

We hope you'll join us!

Soul Symphonies with Karen |

My name is Karen Mann and I'm a SoulCollage® facilitator from
Melbourne, Australia. This column is for those of you who have
already made some cards & are ready to discover the symphony of
voices inside of you and around you.
Wild Woman and Self-Care
I've really struggled with writing this article. Over the last couple of weeks I have been feeling a bit lost, confused and stuck. I've felt that something was out of balance and that something needed to change, but it was hard for me to get in touch with what exactly I needed to do. I felt like I couldn't really find my inner wisdom. I've been feeling like my connection with my instinctual, wise "Wild Woman" was missing in action.
In Women Who Run with the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estes says:
"Within every woman there is a wild and natural creature, a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing. Her name is Wild Woman, but she is an endangered species. Though the gifts of the wildish nature come to us at birth, society's attempt to "civilize" us into rigid roles has plundered this treasure, and muffled the deep, life-giving messages of our own souls. Without Wild Woman, we become over-domesticated, fearful, uncreative, trapped."
"Fearful, uncreative [and] trapped" could sum up how I've been feeling. I can now see (with the benefit of hindsight) that I was so caught up in my confusion and the overwhelming emotions that accompanied this that I actually stopped using some soul-tending practices that could have supported me and helped me re-connect with my instincts, intuition and innate sense of knowing.
As I have been searching for clarity, I wish I had made more time to do some SoulCollage® readings and journaling. I believe that SoulCollage® is a great tool for helping us to get back in touch with our "good instincts, passionate creativity and ageless knowing" and assisting us to hear the "deep, life-giving messages of our own souls".
When I journaled with my "Wild Woman" she said:
I tap into my passion and my intuition regularly and take heed of the cycles of the moon and connect with my truth deep within my feminine heart. I am the one who hears the tolling of the bell and answers the call. I care for myself on a regular basis and I dance to the rhythm of my own drum.
These last few weeks have reminded me that if I care for my "Wild Woman" in the good times, and include SoulCollage® Readings and other practices into my regular daily routine then I will have more chance of remembering to use them in the tough times.
I encourage you to find ways of caring for your own "Wild Woman" regularly so that you can tap into your "good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing" with ease. Daily or weekly SoulCollage® readings are a great way to do this, but of course you already know what practices work best for you. Please heed this reminder is to start using these practices and caring for yourself. Keep your connection with your "Wild Woman" active and stop her from becoming an "endangered species!"
